Cross Cultural Ministries, led by Virginia Cosgrove, serves the Chamblee Doraville community from three locations. They provide after school educational and discipleship opportunities to 86 children a day.
This is a unique program in that they team with First Baptist Doraville so that many of their kids are picked up and taken to church on Sundays. This often leads to their parents reconnecting to the church and rededicating themselves to Christ.
While normally only half the children in the area will graduate High School, over 90% of the Cross Cultural kids do… most going on to college, technical school or the military.
“The LEAD training has encouraged me, refreshed my vision, and been a tool by which God has drawn me close to Him and renewed my passion for the ministry” said Virginia.
“I think the coaching experience is a vital part of the LEAD Institute. My coach provides one on one discussion and feedback, and holds me accountable. I am grateful for it” she added.
