Ministry in Training: Kenya Connection Kids

Kenya Connection Kids started as a ministry of Mars Hill Presbyterian Church in Acworth in 2007. Focusing on Chuka, Kenya they provide a children’s home for 37 kids, and also support 150 local children by providing food, clothing, and education fees.

This is an all-volunteer run nonprofit. Two board members, Denise Benson and Michelle Marshall are attending LEAD.

“We have really liked the focus and clarity the class on mission and vision provided. Clarification on the roles the board is supposed to play will be valuable for our organization” said Michelle. “The Legal session raised a lot of important issues for us as well” added Denise.

Denise and Michelle agreed, “Our coaching relationship with Susan has been great. She is always available, and has given us great input on our materials.”
