Promise 686 mobilizes and equips Churches to care for vulnerable children. They work with churches to train and organize passionate volunteers to serve foster families. This strategy involves forming partnerships between local churches, private child placing agencies, and Division of Family and Children Services. Ty Bryant is Vice President at Promise 686 where his focus has been on recruiting churches and implementing their program in those churches. “Personally the value of LEAD has been to learn how to fundraise. The mock fundraising experience was invaluable. The feedback I received was shared with our President, and resulted in improvements in our efforts” said Ty. “The LEAD training has given me a better overall view of what it takes to run a nonprofit, as a result my thinking has become more strategic” he continued. “My coach Chris has been fantastic. He brings passion, energy and honesty in feedback to our relationship.” For more information about Promise 686, check out their website here.
