Chris York

Founder and Executive Director

Chris York has 25 years of experience in aerospace business management, working on programs like the F-15, the F/A-18, the F-22 and the Apache helicopter.

In 2007, Chris developed the concept which became The LEAD Institute. The LEAD Institute provides business capacity training to the Executive Directors of small to mid sized not for profit ministries.

Kelly Wolfensperger

Secretary

Kelly is the Mission Partnership Director at Peachtree Presbyterian Church and joined the staff in 2011.

Kelly provides leadership, coordination, and support for engaging the Peachtree community in God’s mission in Atlanta and around the world. Prior to Peachtree Presbyterian, she was the Operations Coordinator at Street Grace, a ministry whose mission is to end Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking in Atlanta and the U.S. Kelly is a LEAD Institute graduate, and is passionate about LEAD’s mission to equip and empower faith based non-profit leaders to transform the lives of those in need.

Amy White

2018 Board Chair, Management Consultant and former LEAD coach

Amy White has a management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and leadership development and previously has held various management and executive positions leading key internal functions and business transformation efforts.

Val Carter

Events Chair, Founder / Executive Director of Gilgal, Inc.

Gilgal, Inc. is a Christ-centered Georgia Nonprofit Corporation providing transitional housing, drug education and life skills development for women in crisis in the Metro Atlanta area. Since its first resident in 2006, more than 400 women have benefited from addiction recovery, life skills training, resume building, education, housing, meals, and love. They have been given strength in adversity and when they complete Gilgal, they are ready to face the challenges in life without relapse.

“God has given me a front row seat to watch Him perform miracles in the women of Gilgal. I am blessed to see women set free by coming into a knowledge of Him.”

Val is a member of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta and has been part of the Lay Counseling ministry there for 20 years.

Mrs. Cater is a graduate of The University of Alabama with a B.S. in Mathematics. She has been married to Tommy for 34 years and is the adoring mother of Courtney, a junior at Washington University in St. Louis, and Thomas, III, a freshman at the University of Missouri.

Mac Joye

LEAD Treasurer, Mac Joye is a Finance Professional, Entrepreneur and past LEAD coach

Mac’s professional experience over the last 20 years spans a variety of disciplines: management consulting, software development, startups, restaurants, private equity and finance. He has worked for global consulting firms Ernst & Young and KPMG as well as a handful of smaller companies, a few of which he founded. Mac is an entrepreneur at heart with a passion to build and grow companies.

Ralph Bowlin

Board Chair, Treasurer; retired start-up investor and former LEAD coach

Ralph Bowlin is a repeat mentor having mentored a ministry that graduated in October 2009. Ralph has had an extensive career in both the high tech industry and real estate. He has been an early stage investor, strategic consultant, Board Member and capital raiser, as well as a COO and CFO.

Glenn Carson

Past Board Chair and Financial Officer, Financial and Operations Executive and former LEAD coach

Glenn Carson brings 30 years of professional experience with companies like General Electric, Home Depot, Fiserv and Equifax. During his career, Glenn has led finance, customer service and operational planning organizations.   He has also launched, and led, company wide six sigma process improvement initiatives. Glenn also brings extensive international experience having led business operations in both Japan and India.

Craig Miller

Craig Miller has over 30 years of successful entrepreneurial experience and a deep conviction that human behavior unquestionably drives organizational performance. Craig is an expert in identifying the real gaps in organizational performance. After a career in professional services and consulting, Craig is currently a real estate investor.

Craig and his wife Beth, a successful entrepreneur in her own right, reside in Atlanta, Georgia when not travelling around the globe – their favorite hobby.

Jay Madden

Jay Madden is Pastor for Mission at Peachtree Presbyterian Church. He is passionate about God’s mission of transformation in the world. Jay sees his role as creating vision strategies that engage people in that mission.
