Training Those Who Serve

Who We Are:

Our Story

Founded in 2007, the LEAD Institute has been empowering faith-called nonprofit leaders in Atlanta for more than a decade. LEAD strives to be a trusted resource, providing programs that are designed to equip, connect, and transform nonprofit leaders and organizations.

LEAD abides by its guiding principles to ensure our programs are rooted in:

  • Capacity-Building Curriculum – Foundational business training and opportunities to practice new skills
  • Committed Coaches – Partnerships between creative, compassionate nonprofit leaders and faithful, skilled businesspeople
  • Connected Cohorts – Community of nonprofit peers and experienced trainers
  • Confident Calling – Support to share authentic selves and stories, including faith-based call

The LEAD Institute exists to equip and connect faith-called nonprofit leaders to transform the lives of those in need.

To unleash empowered nonprofit leaders of sustained organizations that are reaching more, going deeper, and partnering thoughtfully to increase community and Kingdom impact

LEAD's Impact

LEAD trained organizations have only a 2% attrition rate - 98% of our Ten Month Program graduates are still in operation.

Over 110 organizations have graduated from the Ten Month Program since LEAD’s inception in July 2007.

For LEAD graduates, fundraising results increase by over 20% per year on average.

In a recent survey, 100% of our graduates would recommend LEAD training to other nonprofit leaders, and 100% of our most recent class came from referrals from alumni and supporters.

In-kind donations to LEAD of volunteer time and talent double the impact of funding received.

Over 20,000 people in the Atlanta-area are impacted annually by the organizations whose leaders have participated in LEAD’s training.
